Easy Fix for F1 error code on Kenmore Range stove
This error is due to a design and manufacturing flaw in the Kenmore Range. A mistake or intentionally made that way, makes no matter, many people have had to have expensive repairs done but here's a super fast, easy, and inexpensive fix that I have invented. Look closely at the steam vent on the bottom, right side of your range. Does it collect moisture and change to a brownish colour as the contents juices burn off? It is directly below a huge, wide opening on the bottom of the entire front, electronic display panel.
If you are using the oven to bake or broil something with a lot of moisture in it. It will eventually short circuit your range! I applied a long piece of aluminium foil to the bottom of the display panel, blocking all open space and taped it into place. MAKE SURE to make it tight near the vent so NO moisture gets through.
I then baked a large ham with lots of juice for about 3 hours to test out my theory. No error occurred and no fogging on the interior of the clock display. The next day I cooked a local dish that contains at least 20 cups of water in it and baked it for 3 1/2 hours. NO PROBLEM!
