Moonstone is a type of Orthoclase Feldspar. Mystically speaking, it is considered to be a fantastic stone for magick folk to wear and use in The Craft. It is associated with the Element of Water since as in life, the moon does affect great bodies of Water on our planet and in our own physical bodies.


Moonstone comes in a variety of colours even dark colours and has a prominent double, precise cleavage(grain/crackage). It has a strange shimmer or “moonglow” that it gives off when you hold it and move the stone at different angles. It is associated mainly with all feminine aspects of health and magicks and is associated with quite a few Lunar or Oceanic deities.


It is reputed to bring good fortune or luck, enhance creativity and inspiration, strengthen divination and dream magick, and even attract pure love!
